Although trained as a classic illustrator, I refuse to be trapped by a recognizable style. With Figurative abstracts, I give negative space as much importance as the object itself. I want the energy to flow from the negative and positive equally through the painting. Often, movement is emphasized.

In other paintings, I let the subject matter dictate the style. In my more realistic paintings, I want the viewer experience to surround my delight in capturing the pure perfection of the subject.
