Angie Sinclair

Angie Sinclair

Angie Sinclair’s water series began as photographs.  Her inspiration came from watching her children swim, both playfully and competitively.  She was mesmerized by the way the water seemed to mystify the body and wanted to find a way to capture the interaction of water, body and light.  Her painted canvases feature crisp blue-hued scenes of people skimming along water’s reflective surfaces.  Hints of reflective colors skim across the canvas and cling close to the figures.
Sinclair attended the High School of Arts, the School of Visual Arts, and the Art Students League in New York City.  Her work has been exhibited around the country, and has garnered first prize in juried shows.
