Anne Dosso

I like to think of my work as a rhythmic interplay between texture, color, form, and space. In doing so, the emotional integrity of the painting aligns with my intent and the viewer’s reactions. My paintings are emotionally driven and fluctuate between abstract expressionism and delicate impressionistic realism. I use color, exaggeration, distortion, and some primitivism in my work. Most of my paintings have a combination of styles, best described as an improvisation if you will

Born in New York and raised in Connecticut, Anne is the daughter of a jazz drummer and the granddaughter of a Radio City Music Hall conductor. As such, she was able to spend many inspiring hours behind the scenes of the amazing world of music. Art and music have always been at the forefront of her academic and creative endeavors.

Anne’s work has been sold nationally as a featured artist with William Sonoma Homes, UGallery, and showcased in This Old House new Cottage design at Cloudland Station, GA.
