Keri Freel

Keri Freel is a professional oil painter whose work explores the intersection of botanical observation and expressive abstraction, she is electrified by shifting colors of flowers and the atmosphere that every garden gives to its viewer. She creates paintings that illuminate movement, light and emotion over strict representation.

Working through deep layers of pigment and oil, Freel magnifies nature's flora into immersive ethereal compositions where petals become sweeping moments that dissolve into its environment. With glowing focal points that transform into luminous objects of curiosity, her works examine stories of impermanence, resiliency and the inspiring wonder found in the evolutionary balance of nature.

While balancing a consistently dedicated studio practice, family life, and a full time career, Freel creates works that invite you to pause, look closely and experience the hidden glow of the wild garden.
